WENT TO IT
  • Was so special to see and visit with Cole Swindell, who’s supporting Thomas Rhet on his “Center Point Road Tour.” Given the recent passing of his mother, his performance of “You Should Be Here” seemed even more poignant as the Boston crowd lit up the amphitheater with their cell phone lights in a spontaneous show of solidarity. It was an incredibly authentic and raw human moment that very much reflects the type of person Cole is. I’m always in awe of performers who can deliver a fun/party-like atmosphere in spite of whatever it is they are dealing with on a personal level. Cole is never one to sell his fans short and seems poised to take that next step forward in his career. You can see some of the highlights on my Insta here

PLAN FOR IT
  • JR Motorsports and NASCAR Xfinity Series up-and-comer Sam Mayer will have a new sponsor on board when they hit the track this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Big Machine Records along with Carly Pearce join the No. 8 team with a special paint scheme promoting the Grand Ole Opry member’s brand new album 29: WRITTEN IN STONE. Nashville, Tennessee-based music, racing and entertainment brand Big Machine first joined JRM as an associate partner on the No. 8 team earlier this year and is taking things to the next level with its primary sponsorship on Mayer’s Camaro for the Sept. 25 NXS race in Las Vegas.

The special guest line up for the tour included Dylan Scott, Whitney Duncan, The Peach Pickers and DJ Rock. Since its inception in 2009, Luke has granted 66 scholarships to students from farming families who are attending the local college or university near the tour stops.
