CHEERS

brettyoungmusic shared this great news on Insta: “PRESLEY ELIZABETH YOUNG 💞 10.21.19 Taylor, my wife. You are a superhero. Your beauty and strength never cease to amaze me. You brought our beautiful girl into this world with a level of grace and quiet confidence that I never knew existed. I’m so impressed by and proud of you. Thank you for this incredible gift. I could not love you more! // My daughter, Baby P, you’re perfect. I am so head over heels in love with you I can’t even explain it. My world is forever changed because God gave you to me. I’m going to do so many things wrong, but I promise to never stop trying, or learning, or loving you as fiercely as is humanly possible. You are my angel, and I will never take for granted the beautiful gift God has given me in trusting me with you. I will always be your rock and your safe place. I am so proud to be your daddy and I am quite certainly the luckiest boy in the world. (Side note, no boys til you’re 30). ** 📷 @notbychase

ON THE HOUSE

The reason why I’m headed to Nashville today is for a conference called “Politicon” – think of it like Comi-Con for political junkies. So if any of my Music City friends happen to be around the Music City Center tomorrow, here’s the schedule of events that I’ll be participating in!

TAILGATE WATCH

Ahead of the final show on her sold-out headlining Oh, What a World: Tour II, Kacey Musgraves is set to make history once again by breaking the female attendance record of any genre at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena with 18,373 projected attendees. Kacey will be joined at Bridgestone Arena by special guests Maggie Rogers and Yola. FWIW, my wife and I are flying into Nashville later today so if anyone at Team UMG/Team Sandbox is reading this, let me know if you come across 2 passes!

AFTER PARTY

BMI celebrated at the Analog at the Hutton Hotel to honor the special fusion of classic and contemporary country with pop music seen in Keith Urban and Julia Michaels’ No. 1 hit “Coming Home.” Written by Urban, Michaels, Nicolle Galyon, JR Rotem, and Merle Haggard, the relatable, feel-good track was showered with high-praise from BMI’s Mason Hunter, Sony ATV’s Josh Van Valkenburg, Universal Music Publishing’s Troy Tomlinson, Warner Chappell’s BJ Hill, and Katy Wolaver and Universal’s Mike Dungan. As customary at a Keith Urban No. 1 party, he performed the song solo with a special nod to Michaels by incorporating her hit song “Issues” into a make-shift bridge.
