ON THE KARAOKE MACHINE

Against a photo backdrop of famous country couples at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Carly Pearce and Michael Ray offer stripped-down duets of songs they love: “Jackson,” a hit for Johnny Cash and June Carter; and “When You Say Nothing at All,” cut separately by two of the couple’s favorites, Keith Whitley and Alison Krauss. Their pop-up performance was captured as part of “Unbroken Circle,” an original video series produced by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in support of the exhibition “American Currents.”

TAILGATE WATCH

Chris Stapleton will headline the first-ever event at the new Texas Rangers baseball stadium, Globe Life Field, on Saturday, March 14, 2020 with very special guests Willie Nelson & Family, Jamey Johnson and Yola.

AT THE BAR

As part of its “Tennessee Original” campaign, MTN DEW transformed Nashville’s Ole Red into “The Tennessee Original Outpost.” The epic celebration on Lower Broadway turned Ole Red DEW-Green and featured local artists, musicians and makers from Tennessee to celebrate MTN DEW’s home-state pride. The MTN DEW takeover was hosted by Nashville’s very own Amy Brown of The Bobby Bones Show. The celebration event kicked off with a private party where LOCASH performed an acoustic set. Lindsay Ell also made a special appearance and took the main stage!

ON THE BAR WALL

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum and Kacey Musgraves now hold the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the world’s largest display of coloring pages. The record was set on Tuesday, National Color Day. A 500-pound, rainbow-shaped display that included 1,550 coloring pages, submitted by people from more than 30 states, was unveiled yesterday in the museum’s Mike Curb Conservatory in support of the exhibition Kacey Musgraves: All of the Colors. Musgraves made an appearance at the museum and was joined by museum CEO Kyle Young to accept the award.

SHOT

Brash. Bright. Fresh. Wildly melodic. Avenue Beat are three girls from Quincy, Illinois, who grew up ingesting social media platforms and theater groups – and turned into the notes of a chord that lands somewhere between Taylor Swift ascending and Billie Eilish at her most real. The genzennial collective of Sami Bearden, Savana Santos and Sam Backoff are strong, smart, fun – in love with life, each other and getting on with it…fresh face of new feminism, while blowing off being told who girls are supposed to be. Check out their new video for “Ruin That For Me”
