Hallmark Channel and PEDIGREE Foundation teamed up for a television special last night to help the millions of shelter and rescue dogs across the country find loving homes. The Love of Dogs Benefit Concert feaatured Lee Brice, Hunter Hayes and Easton Corbin from the Country Music Hall of Fame CMA Theater that was filmed earlier this month.  Rising country artist Jillian Cardarelli performed during the Sponsor Reception prior to the show taping while Hallmark Channel’s own Larissa Wohl served as emcee for the evening. The television special helped raised much-needed grant funds for PEDIGREE Foundation as part of Hallmark Channel’s Adoption Ever After initiative.  Viewers can make a donation by texting Dogs Rule to 615-392-1626 or visit their website at www.PEDIGREEFoundation.org.

WITH A TWIST

This is so my fav collaboration – Keith Urban feat Eric Church in this new rendition of “We Were” – the last time these two teamed-up, they produced the #1 hit “Raise ‘Em Up” … Church was actually one of the co-writers of “We Were” so makes sense that Keith wanted to cut a version with him on it!

ALL ACCESS

Last June, tens of thousands of music fans from around the globe descended upon Nashville for the 48th annual CMA Fest, which featured over 300 artists performing on 11 stages throughout the city’s downtown. Each artist donated their time during the four-day music festival in support of the CMA Foundation, the charitable arm of the Country Music Association (CMA). Thanks to the generosity of not only the artists performing at CMA Fest but the fans in attendance, a portion of net proceeds totaling over $2.2 million has been donated to the CMA Foundation.

AFTER PARTY

BMI and ASCAP gathered alongside industry executives, friends and family to celebrate Carrie Underwood’s No. 1 hit “Southbound” at BMI’s Nashville office. Written by BMI songwriters Underwood and Josh Miller and ASCAP’s David Garcia, the track marks Underwood’s 27th No. 1 and her 14th as a co-writer. Though packed, the celebration felt intimate, with heartfelt congratulations from BMI’s Jody Williams, ASCAP’s Kele Currier and Universal’s Cindy Mabe, as well as the writers’ respective publishers from Cornman Music, Universal Music Publishing and Spirit Music Group.
