CHEERS

Wishing Warner Music Nashville’s Adrian Michaels a very Happy Birthday

TOP SHELF

My favorite country music festival event of the year is coming back for it’s 14th year with the best lineup I’ve seen to date! Stagecoach 2020 will return on Friday, April 24th through Sunday, April 26th and will feature Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood & Eric Church as headliners. Joining the headliners are some of country music’s biggest and brightest stars including Brett Young, Dustin Lynch, Morgan Walen, Dan + Shay, Midland, Jimmie Allen, Alan Jackson, Jon Pardi, Chris Lane, Rilley Green and many more. I also can’t wait to see what kind of reception Bily Ray Cyrus & Lil Nas X get in their Stagecoach return. I think the loudest ovation I’ve ever heard is when those two performed “Old Town Road” live for the first time at Stagecoach 2019 at Diplo’s after-party. Also returning to the festival this year is the SiriusXM Spotlight Stage, which will once again highlight today’s rising stars like Hardy, Caylee Hammack, and Gabby Barrett and others. Festival passes go on sale this Friday at stagecoachfestival.com.

FRONT OF THE HOUSE

Brad Paisley has been on a whirlwind tour of Europe – selling out venues in London, Ireland, The Netherlands, Germany, Norway – showing that he is one of the most transcended country music superstars of all time. It’s pretty remarkable to see the response Brad has been getting – someone who I believe continues to be country music’s greatest ambassador. One great moment the other night was when his good buddy, Keith Urban, showed up to jam-out with Brad at the famed 02-Arena in London.

NEAT

Rascal Flatts, in partnership with Delta Dental of Tennessee and WME, wrapped the fourth-annual Celebrity Golf Classic yesterday with proceeds benefitting Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. This year, the vocal group were joined by celebrity friends including Vince Gill, Charles Kelley, Tracy Lawrence, LOCASH, Jimmie Allen, Joe Diffie, Eric Paslay, Jamey Johnson, Mitchell Tenpenny, Shawn Booth, D.B. Sweeney, Eric Decker, Cortland Finnegan, Scott Hamilton, Brett Hull, Rob Riggle and more. The fun-filled event was rounded out with dinner, a silent and a live auction and intimate performance by Rascal Flatts. The trio’s spontaneous set featured impromptu collaborations with Charles Kelley, Jamey Johnson, and Tyminski. Rascal Flatts has raised a total of $5,850,000 for the hospital, which renamed its Pediatric Surgery Center to The Rascal Flatts Surgery Center in 2010. All proceeds benefit research and fellowship training in the Division of Pediatric Urologic Surgery in the Section of Surgical Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
