ON THE HOUSE

Some great shots of Carrie Underwood’s sold-out show in Nashville the other night at Bridgestone Arena via Jeff Johnson…cannot wait to see Carrie’s show this week at the historic Madison Square Garden in NYC tomorrow night and then at Capital One Arena in DC on Friday! Be sure to keep up @MorningHangover on Instagram/InstaStory for our special “Cry Pretty Tour 360” takeover feat Maddie & Tae and Runaway June!

FRONT OF THE HOUSE

Two of my personal fav up-and-coming country music superstars anchored WPOC’s “Sunday in the Country” festival – Jimmie Allen & Dylan Scott. I am always amazed at the relentless level of energy Jimmie gives in every performance. Recently, Jimmie shared the news that his Dad had passed away and he wasn’t shy about bringing up his father and it translated into some very emotional moments on stage. That’s what makes Jimmie so special in my eyes, his raw honesty with his fans. This was his second consecutive year playing this show and he wasn’t shy about committing to a third in front of the whole audience. Merriweather is just a few hours away from his hometown and to Jimmie, this is like a hometown show. Clearly, the fans who packed the amphitheater agreed!
My favorite performance from start-to-finish may have Dylan’s. This guy is just 100% fun and he has the kind of music you’d want in this type of atmosphere. One of the highlights had to be when Dylan noticed the five-year-old girl (the same girl Lauren Alaina brought on stage that I wrote about yesterday) singing every word to “Beer Buddies” and he appropriately brought her on stage to sing-along! The loudest sing-along moment of the afternoon belonged to Dylan and the crowd of 15,000 strong signing “My Girl” to end his set!

CRUSHIN IT

kennychesney shared some great news on Insta: “#NoShoesNation, we’re adding a second show at @gillettestadium on August 29. It’s amazing to me how much the people there in New England and from where I’m from have in common. Passionate people who care about each other, who work hard, play hard and see music as something that brings them together. I am always amazed at the way these final tour days in Boston hit us so strong and so hard. Rather than waiting, based on the calls, texts and tweets, we figured we should just go ahead and announce this second show!
