Cam’s highly anticipated 11-song sophomore album, The Otherside, is out everywhere right now via Triple Tigers/RCA Records. The Otherside chronicles a transitory period in Cam’s life as she tries to make sense of the world around her. Using her magical storytelling to share her journey, she speaks words of comfort that many of us need to hear in these moments. As she pushes through to the other side to begin a new chapter, she shares some of her best work yet.

It’s Election Day. For folks in the country music community, what’s really on the ballot today is a choice that will dictate whether or not we’ll have a live concert season in 2021 or not. If you are in the live music/entertainment business, your best hope from a business standpoint is to vote for the candidate who can most competently and transparently use the levers of government to contain the Coronavirus, approve a vaccine that is safe, and can get it deployed. To date, we have more than 230,000 dead Americans. Nearly 100,000 Americans are getting infected every day. At this rate, if things don’t change, there is zero chance that live music will return to “normal” in 2021. Think about what your life and livelihood will be like if there is no real touring for another full year. You may not know this, but back in March, one of the heads of one of the largest talent agencies in the world, told the President directly what needed to be done to try and save the live summer concert season. His advice was ignored. To this day, it’s still being ignored. The absence of live music is something that has hit me hard. I miss the energy, passion, and positivity I get from thousands of fans, coming together, singing in unison, to our favorite artists’ and their songs. No matter where you fall on the ideological spectrum, I hope you’ll think about all of the things we didn’t get to do in 2020, and make the choice that you think helps us get back to that life in 2021.
