FRONT OF THE HOUSE

Last week, I shared a great LA Times article about WME/Richard Weitz’s star-studded Zoom parties and Friday nights did not disappoint. Nashville was the focal point of the evening as the effort supported three incredible organizations: The CDC Foundation, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and The Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society. Among the many surprises guests were Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker! It was pretty special watching Luke and Darius heckle one another in-between songs. Darius played some new music he’s working on and in a great moment, spoke with Ryan Tedder about collaborating on a song! Luke’s “One Margarita” was the perfect song to get us all in the party mood! You can donate to each of the organizations right here: https://www.quarantunescovid19fund.com/. One real bright-spot of these “Quarantune” events, is Richard’s daughter, Demi, who is really the emotional anchor of this amazing effort that has raised more than $2 million for charities to date. She is an extraordinary young woman who will hopefully get a chance to scout colleges in the near-future. It’s young people like her that leave me eternally hopeful that our best days are still yet to come!

CRUSHIN IT

Adam Hambrick released his new song, “Between Me and the End of the World,” the song is a heartfelt tribute to Adams’s wife, a physician assistant who has been treating patients throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, and what it has been like for Adam watching her help those in need despite the risk to own self.
