FRONT OF THE HOUSE

Awesome night as Ryan Hurd (Team Sony) brought his unique brand of country music to DC and the fans responded big-time selling-out the Georgetown club, GypsySally’s. I think Ryan is one of the most under-rated talents and his new single, “ToAT” could be the song that helps him reach the next level. Have to say, “Michigan for the Winter” is one of my absolute favorite songs – hope after “ToAT,” that becomes a single. Check out @MorningHangover #InstaStory for a full recap of Ryan’s show.

TAILGATE WATCH

Not a better way to kick-off ACM Awards weekend than 95.5 The Bull’s one-of-a-kind guitar pull to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Looking forward to partying with my man Big D!

NEAT

Brad Paisley (Team Sony) shared this amazing post on Insta: “Every year at @rodeohouston I would have lunch with 2 of my very, very dear friends before they would go to the big event. My heart was heavy this year thinking they wouldn’t be there. Turns out, I guess they were. Susan Terry said it best. Well done @rodeohouston, well done. #georgeandbarbarabush #missyou photo credit: rodeohouston”

Scotty McCreery (Team Triple Tigers) celebrated his chart topping single, “This Is It,” in Nashville with friends, family, colleagues and media in attendance at an industry celebration hosted by ASCAP and BMI. “This Is It” is McCreery’s second ever No. 1 and second consecutive No. 1 hit off his Seasons Change album. He was joined by fellow song co-writers (and two of the three album co-producers) Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis at the event where the North Carolina native received a plaque to signify the song’s two weeks at No. 1 as well as RIAA Gold Certification
