The Country Music Association announced the 2019 inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame – Jerry Bradley, Brooks & Dunn and Ray Stevens. Bradley was inducted in the “Non-Performer” category, which is awarded every third year in rotation with the “Recording and/or Touring Musician” and “Songwriter” categories. Brooks & Dunn were inducted in the “Modern Era Artist” category, and Stevens was inducted in the “Veterans Era Artist” category. A formal induction ceremony for Bradley, Brooks & Dunn and Stevens will take place at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum in the CMA Theater later this year.

Billy Ray Cyrus, will release a new studio album, The SnakeDoctor Circusvia BMGThe SnakeDoctor Circus, a concept record, features Cyrus’ longtime collaborator and songwriting mentor, Don Von Tress. It’s a full circle moment for Cyrus because Von Tress wrote the multi-platinum smash “Achy Breaky Heart” on Cyrus’ record-breaking debut album Some Gave All. The collaboration between the two songwriting titans more than 25 years ago continues with new music on The SnakeDoctor Circus.

More than 20 Nashville-based acts, including Tim McGraw, representing diverse genres of music will perform during the three days of activities on the Draft Main Stage and at the NFL Draft Experience presented by Oikos® Triple Zero, a free admission football festival held outside Nissan Stadium. Additional performances will be announced in the coming weeks. No other NFL Draft has integrated free live music to the degree that will be included in the Nashville Draft. McGraw serves on the Nashville Local Organizing Committee for the Nashville Draft.

Maren Morris’s (Columbia Nashville) new album, “GIRL” has shattered the record for the largest streaming week ever for a country studio album by a woman,  with 24 million streams in its first week. The album debuts this week at No. 4 on the Billboard 200No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums. The album has also broken Apple Music and Amazon Music streaming records.

Songwriter Emily Landis has signed a new worldwide publishing administration agreement with BMG Nashville. A graduate of Belmont University, where she studied songwriting, Landis highlighted her musical prowess in spring 2016, co-writing four of the eight original songs performed in the esteemed Belmont Showcase Series for the Country genre. Since then, Landis has joined the Nashville songwriting community co-writing songs with recording artists Kassi Ashton, Seaforth, Walker McGuire, Cassadee Pope, Tegan Marie, and James Otto, among others.
