SOUND-CHECK

  • Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton, Ricky Skaggs, Lee Brice, Jay Leno, Trisha Yearwood and more honor Garth Brooks as he receives the prestigious Gerswhin Prize for Popular Song on a PBS special airing on March 29th at 9/8c
  • Garth Brooks receives the “ICON Award” at the Billboard Music Awards on April 29th on NBC (I’m expecting this to be postponed)

ON THE JUKEBOX

Though Music City has seen a difficult few weeks, it has also seen an outpouring of strength throughout the community. In that vein, Warner Music Nashville has announced a 21-song digital compilation entitled Nashville Strong, available now (listen HERE), in support of tornado relief efforts. All WMN proceeds will be donated to the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund via The Community Foundation. This initiative follows Warner Music Group’s contribution to the Fund in the immediate aftermath of this month’s natural disaster.

FRONT OF THE HOUSE

TAILGATE WATCH

The Hot Country Knights’ van will stay parked for a while longer as they announced they are postponing their 2020 ONE KNIGHT STAND TOUR, which was set to launch next month in California. Refunds for all dates are available at point of purchase. While the road warriors will be social distancing, the band rooted in 90’s Country will trek forward with their mission to take Country music back to its glory days, with the release of their debut album THE K IS SILENT, out May 1st. The March and April stops of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour have been proactively rescheduled for the fall out of an abundance of caution. New dates below. Tickets will be honored for the rescheduled show so please hold on to your initial confirmation/purchase. Tour support for all the rescheduled dates will be announced in the very near future.  For more information, please visit lynyrdskynyrd.com.

As a songwriter, Hannah signed to Curb Publishing in 2015, where she has gone on to write songs recorded by artists spanning multiple genres, including Russell Dickerson, Carly Pearce, Emily Weisband, Cassadee Pope, Sidewalk Prophets, and Filmore.
