The Grand Ole Opry has announced the release of a limited-edition vinyl LP titled, Unbroken | Empty Room, Full Circle. The announcement comes on the anniversary of the Opry’s decision to pause in-house audiences in March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Available on June 4th exclusively on Opry.com and at the Opry’s Nashville-based retail outlets, the LP includes memorable performances from the 29 weeks that were recorded live from the Opry stage in front of an empty house

  • Country music legend Larry Gatlin has tested positive for coronavirus. The diagnosis came days after getting his second dose of the Moderna vaccination. Gatlin received his vaccine on March 4, four days later on March 8, he tested positive for Covid-19.

  • Red Light Management and Twitch have partnered to launch CTRL_MUSIC_, a Country music channel on Twitch with live, interactive concerts by some of the genre’s biggest names. The Country Now Live series on CTRL_MUSIC_ takes place Wednesdays at 8:00 PM Central, beginning March 17th. The all-live performances will take place at the Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, the newest Nashville venue, which has established itself as a standout concert venue and proven leader in utilizing state-of-the-art production capabilities along with delivering the ultimate livestreamed concert experience. The hour-long show will include all-live performances to be captured by seven cameras throughout Brooklyn Bowl Nashville followed by an interactive Q&A from the stage, allowing online fans the opportunity to engage the artists in real-time. At present no live audiences will be allowed in venue (subject to change based on local Covid-19 conditions and protocols). The first round of performers appearing on the Country Now Live series on CTRL_MUSIC_ include Brett Young, Lady A, Chris Janson, Jordan Davis, Elle King, Riley Green, and Lindsay Ell.
