CHEERS

I know there’s a lot of fear going around, some justifiable and some over-the-top, but we are a resilient people who can overcome any obstacle as long as we maintain the bonds of community that bind us all together. In that spirit, I wanted to start today’s edition off with something positive and this lyric video for David Lee Murphy & Kenny Chesney’s #1 hit “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” seemed appropriate.

Check out this terrific feature from CBS This Morning profiling Maren Morris’ road to stardom as they shadowed her at the Houston Rodeo. Fun-fact, Maren just hit the No. 1 spot on the Hot Country Songs this week with “The Bones,” marking the first time since 2016 that a solo woman has topped the hybrid chart. “The Bones” ousted “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber, which held the No. 1 spot for 21 weeks.

ON THE BAR WALL

Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery returned to Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. The sold-out performance marked his first concert appearance at the Mother Church of Country in over six years. Prior to taking the Ryman stage at a reception filled with journalists and industry executives, McCreery learned his album Seasons Change had been certified Gold by the RIAA for sales of more than 500,00 units.
