BAR BITES

Grand Ole Opry member Joe Diffie celebrated his 25th anniversary as an Opry member on Friday night with fellow members and family and one heck of a cake!

ON THE BAR WALL

A look at all of the artists and country radio folks who came out to Memphis this past weekend to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of St. Jude’s “Country Cares” initiative which has raised more than $800 million so far! I’ve never seen anything like the partnership between country radio and the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Amazing what can be achieved when good people make an amazing cause a priority – lord knows the folks here in my backyard in D.C. could learn a lot from this partnership.
