CRUSHIN IT

BUZZIN

This is pretty friggin awesome if you ask me … Kacey Musgraves, fresh off her 4 wins at the GRAMMYs, has been invited to present at Sunday night’s OSCARS! I asked her manager, Jason Owen (Sandbox Ent.) if he ever imagined he’d get to go to the Oscars supporting one of his talents playing a role in the show. His response, “Yes. I did. I’ve had my outfit planned for 15 years.”

NEAT

Before closing out the CRS 2019 New Faces Show, Dylan Scott presented ACM Lifting Lives with a donation for $3,000!

The Music Business Association (Music Biz) will present Darius Rucker with its Harry Chapin Memorial Humanitarian Award during the Music Biz 2019 Awards & Hall of Fame Dinner on Tuesday, May 7th in Nashville. D is being celebrated for his lifelong philanthropic efforts that include exemplary and heartfelt work on behalf of children.

BACKSTAGE PASS

Big & Rich have entered into a partnership with Reviver Records reuniting them with Reviver Records’ President Gator Michaels – who I had the chance to meet for the first time at CRS the other day. Effective immediately, Reviver Records will promote the duo’s latest single “Brand New Buzz,” to country radio.

AFTER PARTY

Without question the coolest experience of CRS 2019 was the intimate Garth Brooks empty arena acoustic show at Bridgestone Arena.
