CHEERS

Birthday of the Week (was yesterday): the Voice of country music – Shawn Parr!

TOP SHELF

The most star-studded event during CRS2019 is the Team UMG lunch at The Ryman. Hootie & The Blowfish closed out the event with performances of “Only Wanna Be with You” and “Hold My Hand” – cannot wait until they go back out on tour very soon. Eric Church took a day away from his “Double Down Tour” to put us in the Valentine’s Day spirit with “Heart Like A Wheel.” Vince Gill captivated the audience with a brand new song inspired by his momma that had a lot of people (including myself) teary-eyed. Chris Stapleton showed sometimes all you need to electrify a crowd is an amazing voice and a killer song. Little Big Town shared new music with us that highlighted their unique vocal harmonies. One of the really special things about CRS is the insight we get into new music. Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley & Jon Pardi shared new music from new projects that they are working on. This is also the place to get a first look at the new artists the label is pushing. Jordan Davis, Kassi Ashton, Travis Denning, Adam Hambrick, Brandon Lay & first-time Ryman performer Caylee Hamack showcased why the future is so bright at UMG Nashville. Watch highlights from each artists’ performance right now on @morninghangover #InstaStory

ON THE HOUSE

2 big events to close-out CRS that I’m really excited to be at today include BMLG’s Lunch & the 2019 New Faces of Country Music show!

FRONT OF THE HOUSE

Walker Hayes turned CRS into a big #90sCountry party hosted by Monument! Walker is 100% positive energy and charisma on stage. Check out highlights on our #InstaStory

TAILGATE WATCH

Unexpected surprise was realizing that Dylan Scott’s “Nothing To Do Town Tour” had a stop right in the middle of CRS in Nashville at the SOLD OUT Cannery Ballroom! This is probably the fourth time I’ve seen this show in a month and I enjoyed just as much as I did on Day 1, if not more. Dylan puts on a really fun, high-octane show. He’s quickly become one of my favorite performers to watch! Check out highlights of the show on our @morninghangover #InstaStory highlights. Also have to throw in a word for Seth Ennis – I’m obsessed with his song “U-Turn.”

AT THE BAR

Great running into Ryan Hurd at Barlines! All this guy does is put out really friggin good music. This needs to be the year he breaks out because he is super talented.

ON THE BAR WALL

Great catching up with my #WestCoastBestCoast brotha Tyler Rich!

CRUSHIN IT

This is a song that should be played at weddings and def needs to be a part of your Valentines Day weekend playlist – watch the new video for Ryan Hurd’s “ToAT”

MIXED DRINKS

When the Morning Hangover + NYCountry Swag & Nash Nights Live’s Elaina Smith come together for a 90’s Country Party!

ALL ACCESS

I only had time to watch 2 acts at the Radio Disney Country event last night but I’m really glad I got to see the two artists I was able to see. Seaforth can flat-out sing – both of them. What is it about country music singers from Australia – Keith Urban, Morgan Evans, Seaforth?!!! This was my first time seeing them live and they might very well be the most talented new vocal duo in Nashville. Thanks to Reviver’s Gator Michaels, I made a point to stick around to watch Tenille Arts perform. Like most of America, I first saw Tenille on The Bachelor but honestly, that appearance didn’t do her justice as seeing her live. She can sing and if her single “I Hate This” is any indication of what we can expect from her in the future, she is going to have a really bright future. Watch highlights of Seaforth and Tenille on our InstaStory and you’ll see what I mean!

BACKSTAGE PASS

One of my personal favs and someone who I think is gonna make a killer-agent one-day is CAA’s Reid Cifrino – true story – her family lives in the same neighborhood I do in Arlington, VA … what a small world!
