WENT TO IT

So initially, my plan was to write about Thomas Rhett’s weekend, but due to a downpour of weather, I made the call to postpone my TR experience until next month. Determined to get my country music fix, I trekked up to Virginia Beach to see Brad Paisley, Jimmie Allen & Kameron Marlowe! This was my first time seeing Kameron live and man, he has a great voice and his song “Tequila Talkin’” plays like a hit. Jimmie showcased why he really is born showman. Part of this speaks to the generosity of Brad as a headliner as there were things I saw Jimmie do that I honestly can’t recall a support act having the freedom to do – from walking out from the crowd to start his set to the level of production he has, Brad really has given Jimmie full reign and Jimmie knows exactly what to do with it. I was so excited to hear him and Brad performs “Freedom Was A Highway” together, I’ve loved that song from the moment I heard it. One of the most poignant moments I’ve ever experienced was when during “This Is Country Music,” four members of the US Army came out on stage and received one of the loudest ovations I’ve ever heard. With everything going on in the world, and at a venue called “Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater,” this moment resonated with everybody. Honestly, this was one of the best Sunday crowds I’ve ever seen and Brad did not disappoint. As usual, words don’t do it justice so check out the InstaStories I posted @MorningHangover.
