Congrats to Ingrid Andress on achieving her very first #1 hit on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase charts with “More Hearts Than Mine.” This follows her Warner Music label-mate Gabby Barrett’s #1 hit “I Hope.” They are also the first solo artists (male or female) to ever top the chart back-to-back with debut singles since Country Aircheck’s launch in 2006.

NEAT

Since late March soon after everyone began following social distancing guidelines, Scotty McCreery has performed and appeared on more than 50 live social media events with country radio stations and media outlets on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. He has dubbed this series of performances as his “Somewhere in Quarantine Tour.” Today, McCreery debuts his “Somewhere in Quarantine Tour T-Shirt” for sale in his online store at ScottyMcCreery.com.  The t-shirt has a McCreery logo and the tour name on the front, while on the back it has a listing of the radio stations and media outlets who have hosted his social media performances and appearances this Spring.  A portion of net proceeds of the shirt will be donated to MusiCares for its COVID-19 Relief Fund, which helps those in the music community affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. The shirt can be purchased here!

SHOT

Do you have the Sway it takes to make it in country music? Boutique artist management group The AMG has teamed with popular country music Facebook group Country Sway for a new online talent search – “Got Sway?” The winner will receive the opportunity to release their song, a mentoring session with AMG co-founder Rob Beckham, and consideration to be managed by The AMG –  the company that represents superstars Brad Paisley, Chris Young, and a host of country music’s hottest up-and-comers. To participate, artists should post a video of themselves performing on their official social media pages, ensure the page is set to public, and include #GotSway #SoGood in the post. Then, contestants are asked to visit www.countrysway.com and fill out a form. Singers must be able to perform a live acoustic show including at least two original songs on Facebook.com/CountrySway between Sunday, May 10, and Sunday, May 31.
